I had been fairly hopeful of keeping my job for at least another year starting in July. Yesterday, though, I got some bad news and could be unemployed as early as the end of this month. I should find out one way or the other next week.
If I do lose my job, then the 360 is definitely out. In fact, I don't even know if my wife will let me spend the money to get a 318 built for the Barracuda. It would put up huge obstacles to finishing the Barracuda if I lose my job.
On the other hand, I would have a lot more time to get things done. One thing I really need to do is clean out my garage. It's so messy right now that it's difficult to get anything done on the cars. If I do lose my job, I'm not planning on going back to work right away. Even if I wanted to, it is hard to find good paying jobs in Reno right now. A couple week to grieve and then a couple months to get caught up on my house and yard work might not be such a bad idea. I think I could pick up enough side work (PC repair, etc) to keep going on the Barracuda, just at a slower pace than I'd been planning on.
